Early Intervention

For consumers who are in the early stages of their chemical dependency, early intervention treatment is provided through a six (6) session educational class.  These classes focus on the physiological and psychological effects of alcohol and drug use and the potential consequences.

Outpatient Treatment

To accommodate the needs of our consumers, we provide flexible morning and afternoon group sessions.  In addition, Ho`okaulike also provides comprehensive assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for our consumers. Our program is research based, utilizing the Stages-of-Change and Motivational Interviewing techniques to enhance consumers’ motivation and commitment to treatment.  In this program, consumers are taught the skills necessary to manage cravings, to prevent relapses, and how to recognize the roles they play in their family and in the community.

Aftercare Program

Follow-up care is provided by a twelve (12) session Aftercare program to help consumers who have successfully completed the outpatient treatment.  This program assists the consumer in re-establishing themselves into the community.  The Aftercare program teaches the consumer about health and nutrition, government laws, employment readiness, and available community resources.
