K a Ho`o Pulapula Ana -- CHILD & FAMILY PROGRAMSWe value family-focused, culturally appropriate, community-based services for children and families. Due to the shift in the provision of services and funding from the Department of Health (CAMHD) to the Department of Education (DOE), Hale Na`au Pono is no longer able to provide children's case management, clinical therapy, medication management, Adolescent Day Treatment Program, or After School Day Support program. Some of these services are now provided by the individual schools. Hale Na`au Pono continues to provide Therapeutic Foster Care services. Hale Na`au Pono is continuing to seek grants and new funding resources and may restart closed programs, as the need and funding become available. Therapeutic Foster Homes
The goal of this program is to keep the children in their home communities. We interview and match each child/youth with one of our therapeutic foster home on the Leeward Coast, to provide them with a positive and safe home environment. When appropriate, we also attempt to reunify the child/youth with their biological family.
